Terms of Service

Effective October 29, 2026

Thanks for using Mission Campaign. We build email newsletters for churches and nonprofits. The product is in private beta. We do not know every visitor personally, so these Terms keep the ship pointed in the same direction.

When we say we, us, or Mission Campaign, we mean the people who run this product — the website, the app, and the public reader pages.

When we say Services, we mean missioncampaign.com, the signed-in app, the public reader host, subscribe forms and embeds, and the invite waitlist.

When we say you, we mean the person or organization who requests an invite, creates an account, or uses a workspace.

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Using the Services, now or later, means you agree to the latest Terms. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms one day, we still can later. These Terms include a limit on our liability.

If you break these Terms, we may pause sending or close your access. That is a lot of trust. We try to deserve it by being direct and reachable.

Accounts

  1. Access is by invite. The homepage waitlist is a request for a spot, not an account. We may invite you, wait, or say no. We may open or close sign-up at any time.
  2. When sign-up is open, you start with an email. We send a confirmation link. You choose your name, workspace name, and password on that page. That is how we know the address is yours. We will not tell a visitor whether an address already has an account.
  3. You must be a person. Automated sign-ups and disposable mailbox addresses may be ignored.
  4. You are responsible for your password and for the people you invite into a workspace. We are not liable for what happens if someone else uses your account.
  5. You are responsible for everything that happens in your workspaces: the list, the campaigns, the public page, and the embeds.
  6. You may own more than one workspace. An owner can invite members, resend or cancel invites, and remove members. Accepting an invite makes you a member of that workspace. It does not create a new owned workspace.

Your list and your mail

The list is yours. Campaigns you write are yours. Images you upload are yours. We do not claim ownership. You give us a limited license to store that material and to send it so the product can work.

You must have permission to email the people on your list. If you import a CSV, you confirm that those people agreed to receive your emails. Do not upload a list you cannot mail.

You can add people by hand, import a CSV, or let them join from your hosted page or an embed. Public joins stay pending until the person confirms the email we send. We give the same “check your email” answer whether the address is new, already pending, or already on the list.

You can tag people and save a segment — a tagged group of active contacts — and send to that group instead of everyone. You can mark someone dormant so they stay on the list and are not mailed. You can delete a contact; send history keeps the email snapshot and drops the link to that row. Re-adding the same address is a new contact. You can export the list.

Unsubscribed, bounced, and complained contacts stay on the workspace list. We do not mail them as active recipients.

Sending campaigns

You can draft, preview, test, schedule, send, pause, and resume a campaign. A test copy goes to the signed-in user’s email only.

A real send needs a From address that can send, a subject, and a working unsubscribe link for people on the list. An empty list will not go out.

Campaign mail is delivered through our sending provider. Account mail, confirmation mail, waitlist mail, and help notes go out through our app mailer. Those are different pipes.

Each workspace gets a platform From address you can use without setting up DNS. You can also add your organization’s domain and send from that address once it is set up.

Every campaign we send includes a way to leave the list, including one-click unsubscribe. We skip addresses on our platform-wide never-email list, in every workspace.

We may stop a workspace from sending. That is a platform switch, not an unsubscribe. We may also pause a send if bounce or complaint rates spike. A blocked workspace cannot send, schedule, resume, or test-send until we turn sending back on.

This is a beta. We do not promise a particular delivery time, inbox placement, or uptime.

Public page and embeds

A workspace can have a public page where people subscribe and read sent issues. You choose the username and whether that page is on. Turning the page off hides the hosted subscribe form and the archive the same way an unknown name would. Embed and JSON subscribe keep working.

You can put an unstyled sign-up form on your own site (script or HTML) or send a join from JSON. Those joins are rate-limited.

Sent issues on a public page can include a link in the email to read the issue in a browser.

People on a list

If someone signed up for a church or nonprofit list we host, they hear from that organization. They can confirm a pending join, leave through the unsubscribe link or one-click unsubscribe, or write that organization if the mail was a mistake.

Using the Services well

You may not:

  • Email people who did not agree to hear from you
  • Use the Services for unlawful mail, fraud, or harassment
  • Impersonate someone else, including in the From name or address
  • Probe, break, or overload the Services
  • Upload malware or try to collect other people’s account data
  • Abuse the people who run Mission Campaign

We may refuse content, pause sending, or close a workspace if we believe these rules are broken.

Closing a workspace

The workspace owner can delete the workspace from settings. That removes the workspace from the product, including members, invitations, contacts, segments, campaigns, and senders. We cannot promise to restore it.

Images already sent in email may stay available so old messages still load.

There is no in-product button to delete a user account. If you need that, email [email protected].

We may suspend or close access for any reason, including abuse or a risk to other customers. Verbal, written, or other abuse of the people who run this product will close your access.

Changes

We may change or stop parts of the Services. This is a private beta. Features can move.

Access is by invite during this private beta. We do not charge a fee today.

As is

You use the Services at your own risk. We provide them as is and as available. We work to keep the product up, and we still do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

We use third-party providers to host the app, deliver mail, and store files. We look at account data when you ask for help, when we have to fix a failure, when we are investigating abuse or a security problem, or when the law requires it.

What you own and what we own

Your list and your campaigns stay yours. The Services — the design, the code, the name — stay ours. Do not copy, sell, or resell the product or a piece of it without our written permission.

We do not pre-screen every campaign. We may refuse or remove content.

Bugs

We test before we ship. Software still has bugs. We fix the important ones, especially anything that touches security or other people’s mail. We do not promise a product without bugs, and we do not promise it will fit every workflow.

Liability

You understand and agree that Mission Campaign is not liable to you or anyone else for any damages that come from using the Services, not being able to use them, a failed or delayed send, a lost list, unauthorized access, or anything else related to these Terms — whether that is a contract claim, a tort, or some other theory. That includes lost profits, lost data, and indirect or consequential damages, even if we were told they were possible.

In other words: choosing this beta is a bet on us. If the bet does not work out, that is on you, not us. We will do our darnedest to be a safe bet. If you still choose to use Mission Campaign, thank you.
